Introducing Google’s In-car Local Search

Google is following up its Google Maps Send to Car facility, which enables sending business listing to cars enabled with BMW Assist Service, with another far more useful and innovative facility, the In-car Google Local Search. This facility gives the BMW ConnectedDrive models access to information from Google Maps.

The BMW ConnectedDrive is an innovative concept of model cars which intelligently integrates the driver, car and surroundings that contributes to an overall driving pleasure.

With the use of the In-car Google local search, BMW ConnectedDrive model owners equipped with car navigation system can search for a business location, enter it into their navigation systems or even call the listed contacts with just one click.

Google and BMW share the same vision of providing users with more innovative and convenient services. And the integration of Google’s mapping technology with BMW’s excellence in manufacturing innovative car models a partnership that would certainly achieve this vision.
