The Hakia Scoop Bar
Yes, it’s yet another search related browser toolbar. If you want to have some fun while you check out Hakia, an interesting new search engine, give it a try. If you do a lot of research online, you might also want to try it out. Or perhaps Google Web History is freaking you out and you are looking for a new toolbar?
Hakia is a new semantic search engine, still in beta. Pandia is testing it and a review is in the pipeline.
Here is a short intro: Hakia is a semantic search engine brings search results by meaning match rather than by the popularity of search terms. Hakia hopes to provide the end user with search efficiency, richness of information, and time savings.
The Scoop Bar is a tool intended to help you save time while searching, or perhaps specifically researching, online. It is a simple, no frills toolbar where you enter your search term in the box. This brings up the Hakia search results page.
So far, it sounds pretty ordinary. But when you click on a search result, the Scoop bar will take you to the page in question, automatically scroll down to where the good stuff is and highlight it.
