US Appeals Court Overturns Part Of Google’s Auto-Link & AdSense Patent Infringement Case
U.S. appeals court hands Google patent case setback from Reuters reports the US appeals court has partially overturned the initial ruling between Google and Hyperphrase Technologies, LLC.
The official decision can be read at this PDF file that shows the appeals court affirmed most of the ruling with the exception of AutoLink decision where the previous court ruled that it "does not infringe the '889 and '321 patents." The appeals court has set remand for further proceedings on that portion of the ruling. In short, the portion of the Autolink ruling that needs to be reviewed is the construction of "data reference" area.
